Multibeam Bathymetric Survey
Naval Station Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory
SeaVision mobilized to the United States' naval facility in Diego Garcia to perform a multibeam bathymetric
survey of one of their ship piers in support of a periodic underwater inspection performed in Summer 2010.
We transported all equipment for an RTK-GPS positioned multibeam bathymetric survey to the remote
island, and utilized an available vessel of opportunity to perform this survey.
Sub-bottom Profiling and Geological Sampling
San Bruno Shoals and Redwood City Channels
San Francisco, CA
To support the planning phase of a potential deepening project
in these channels, SeaVision subcontracted to a U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers Architect-Engineer (A-E) team to provide the
subsurface characterization of the channels. Utilizing vibracore
samples and a 3.5 kHz sub-bottom profiler, SeaVision collected
over 20-miles of subsurface imagery to depths of 30-feet below
the mudline to interpret the data and identify principle
geological strata that may impact dredging techniques and
costs.
Bridge Pier Scanning
Hudson River, Saratoga, NY
Recently, SeaVision utilized a high-resolution scanning sonar
to perform underwater scans of bridge piers in support of an
underwater bridge inspection project. The scans supplement
diver inspections by providing a cmoplete view of the pier
condition.
ROV Investigation
Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Facility (Confidential)
When a hydroelectric operator suspected the presence of
structural steel in the flow tunnels of their pumped storage
facility, SeaVision mobilized to the site during a weekend
shut-down to investigate th
Multibeam Bathymetric Survey
Chelsea River, Boston, MA
In support of periodic underwater inspections at a petroleum
off-loading terminal, SeaVision performed a multibeam
bathymetric survey with RTK-GPS Positioning to delivery 100%
coverage of the berth footprints.
