Potable
Water Tunnel Investigation
Hope, RI Client: Seaview Systems, Inc
SeaVision
provided contract labor support in order to assist with an underwater
investigation of two potable water tunnels in western Rhode Island.
Seaview Systems Inc. performed 800-foot and 2,000-foot penetration
dives using a custom remote-operated vehicle (ROV) to perform
sonar profiling and digital video acquisition that documented
the condition of the tunnels. SeaVision provided top-side ROV
tending support and general investigative assistance.
SeaVision offers a variety of service lines that can be delivered
individually, or as part of a fully integrated solution.
The following projects offer a brief sampling of solutions that
SeaVision has provided for its clients.
Mooring Management
Jamestown, RI Client: Town of Jamestown Harbor Management Commission
The
town of Jamestown, RI manages several hundred moorings along its
shoreline. In order to better manage those moorings,
the town purchased the ESRI ArcView software and created an interactive
digital map of the moorings and the town of Jamestown. However,
very few members of the Harbor Management staff were familiar with
the ArcView software. SeaVision Marine Services LLC developed a
custom interface for the Jamestown Harbor Management Commission
that expands the utility of the Mooring Management GIS database.
SeaVision developed an interface based on Visual Basic for Applications
and ArcObjects to allow an easy-to-use graphic user interface for
viewing and editing the database.
