Through all phases of waterfront and underwater projects, hydrographic surveys
provide critical information about the depth and character of the bottom. SeaVision
provides hydrographic surveys around the world to clients in all phases of projects,
often working in difficult-to-reach areas. Techniques we employ include:
• Real-Time Kinematic GPS Positioning
• Single Beam Echosounding
• Multibeam Echosounding
• Dual or Multi-Frequency Echosounding
RTK-GPS Positioning provides us with
highly accurate horizontal and vertical
positioning that also compensates, in
real-time, for changing water level
conditions. Single Beam Echosounding
can be an effective tool for very precise
depth measurements, especially in
shallow environments.
Multibeam Echosounding generates very
accurate, very dense data sets that
provide nearly 100% coverage of the
bottom and result in highly detailed
bathymetric maps. And finally, Dual or
Multi-Frequency Echosounding can be
deployed to measure thicknesses of
sediment layers or searc for buried
utilities or objects.
In our Projects section, you will see sample projects that illustrate diverse
applications of the hydrographic survey techniques that we employ. We find ourselves
working through all phases of projects, including Design/Permitting, Construction,
and Operations & Maintenance. Led by an ACSM-Certified Hydrographer, SeaVision
provides these survey techniques in accordance with USACE and IHO Standards.
Whether at a major container ship terminal or at a pumped-storage hydroelectric
facility, SeaVision has the experience and the capability to deliver.
